It's possible that Wally Wood's work on the Tower Comics line of THUNDER Agents might be his best mainstream comics work, or perhaps to put it a bit differently, his most satisfying. Here are some covers from the line and some of the layouts which demonstrate Wood's process.

I like the rough art better of the last one with the hero stopping the train the rough pose looks better somehow even though you don't see his face.
ReplyDeleteI agree. The revised cover causes Dynamo's figure to lack a sense of weight and balance, he seems to almost be floating. Not what you want if you're planning to stop a train.
