Boxing is dead. I hear that all the time, as the modern bloodsport seems to be Mixed Martial Arts. The octagon has replaced the squared circle as the showcase for all that is manly and brain-damaging. But boxing still makes the news now and again when they try to drum up interest in some lighter-weight pairing. Without any real serious heavyweights to top the cards, the sport has faded.
